LILLIE CAUDILL, daughter of ELIZABETH F. CONLEY and JOHN REED CAUDILL, was born in January of 1881 in Kentucky, and died June 7, 1955 in Johnson County, Kentucky. She married CHARLES H. RICE, son of WILLIAM MARION RICE and REBECCA PATRICK, April 27, 1898. He was born November 14, 1875 in Kentucky, and died about 1965.

When Charlie H. Rice's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a self-employed farmer in Gifford, Magoffin County, that his closest relative was "Lillie Rice wife" of Gifford, and that he was born November 14, 1875. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had dark brown eyes and dark brown hair.

According to Kentucky death record transcripts, Lillie C. Rice died June 7, 1955 in Johnson County at the age of 74. She was living in Magoffin County at the time of her death.

He was born July 9, 1863 in Ivyton, Magoffin County, Kentucky, died September 18, 1934 in Oil Springs, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in Oil Springs, Johnson County, Kentucky.

Greenville Adams was the brother of Mary Ann Adams, William Adams, and Sarah Adams.

Bethany Risner's maiden name was confirmed by finding the birth record of her daughter. Delila Adams was born February 18, 1861 in Magoffin County to John Adams (b. Floyd County) and Bertheena Risner (b. Floyd County).

According to her death certificate, Alafair Litteral Adams died October 17, 1943 in Little Paint, Magoffin County, from stomach cancer. Also on this certificate, her birthplace is listed as Kentucky, her birth date as April 23, 1866, her marital status as widowed, her parents as Wiley Literal (b. Kentucky) and Rebecca Pace (b. Kentucky, the informant as Bruce Adams of Little Paint, the doctor as Grant Rice [Ulysses Grant Rice], and the burial place as Oil Springs, Kentucky.

According to Kentucky death record transcripts, Alafair Adams died October 17, 1943 in Magoffin County at the age of 76.

According to his death certificate, Green Adams died September 18, 1934 in Oil Springs from enteritis, with a fractured spine causing complete paralysis as a contributing factor. She married JAMES POWER, son of LEWIS POWER and ELIZABETH PRATER, July 22, 1858. He was born May 29, 1830 in Floyd County, Kentucky, and died before 1900.

Notes: James was the brother of Elizabeth Power.

James Power reportedly died about 1883 in Salyersville.

According to her death certificate, Nancy Jane Blair Power died October 7, 1927 in Magoffin County from typhoid fever. When Patrick Powers' World War I draft registration card was filled out on June 5, 1917 in Ivyton, Magoffin County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a teamster working for Berry and Fannin Lumber Company in Ivyton, that he had a wife and 2 children, that he had spent 3 years as a private in the state infantry, and that he was born November 11, 1892 in Falcon, Kentucky. He was found to be tall, of medium build, and he had blue eyes and light-colored hair.

According to Social Security death record transcripts, Patrick Powers was born November 11, 1892, and died in May of 1965. His last place of residence was in Ohio.

Martha Smiley's maiden name has also been reported as Martha J. Bates and as Martha J. Pigman. In Charles Vencil's obituary, her name is listed as Martha Pigman. On Charles' half-sister Lathana "Thana" Bates' death certificate, her parents are listed as William Bates (b. Knott County) and Martha Smiley (b. Floyd County). Martha Smiley can be found living with her parents in Floyd County in 1870 and she has an older sister named Lathana, which is what she named her daughter.

When Roy Vencill's World War I draft registration card was filled out on June 5, 1918 in Paintsville, Johnson County, he stated that he was self-employed in Niles, Kentucky, that his closest relative was Martha Vencill of Niles, and that he was born April 13, 1897 in Oil Springs, Kentucky. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had blue eyes and dark brown hair.

Information found on the Johnson County Historical Society's website and a photo of their headstone shows that Myrtie M. Vencill lived from November 11, 1898 to November 19, 1981, and was buried in Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville, that Charles Roy Vencill lived from April 13, 1897 to January 15, 1981, was buried in the same cemetery, and that Charles Roy Vencil Jr. lived from November 5, 1934 to June 18, 1982, and was buried in the same cemetery.

According to her obituary, Myrtle Conley Vencil, daughter of Buddy and Haley Conley, was born November 11, 1898 in Johnson County, died November 19, 1981 at home in Paintsville, and was buried in Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville. When Wayne Conley's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a farmer working for W. H. Conley in Niles, Johnson County, that his closest relative was W. H. Conley, and that he was born December 4, 1899. He was found to be 5 feet 8 inches tall, stout, and he had dark blue eyes and dark brown hair.

According to his obituary, Wayne Conley (age 54), son of W. H. and Callie Spradlin Conley, was a lifelong resident of Oil Springs. He was born December 4, 1899, married Nora Howard in 1924, died June 18, 1954 in a local hospital following an extended illness, and was buried in Conley Cemetery. He was survived by his wife; 1 daughter, Mrs. Arlie Lykins (of Oil Springs), 1 grandson, Arlie David Lykins (Oil Springs); and 2 brothers, George W. Conley (Ashland) and Ben Conley (Mt. He was found to be tall and slender, and he had blue eyes and red hair.
