According to the book "The Conley Clan of Eastern Kentucky," published and sold by The Magoffin County Historical Society (page 350), Elzie Trimble first married Della Bayes. He then married Addie Rice. He then married Oma Craft. It's unclear if Addie Rice is actually the Ida that's found married to Elzie in 1930.
According to U.S. Army enlistment records, Elzie Trimble joined Company B of the 29th Infantry in 1901 in Ashland, Boyd County, Kentucky. He was a farmer, 19 years old, born in Johnson County, he had blue eyes, auburn hair, and he was 5 feet 6 1/2 inches tall. He was discharged on December 4, 1904 in Fort Bliss, Texas. Elzie again enlisted on December 18, 1908 in Columbus, Ohio. On this record he is listed as 5 feet 7 inches tall, born in Johnson County, Kentucky, 26 years old, blue eyes, auburn hair, fair complexion, and he was discharged April 10, 1910 at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indiana. On February 18, 1911, Elzie enlisted again at Fort Thomas, Kentucky. On this enlistment record he was found to be born in Johnson County, he was 28 years and 3 months old, he was a cook, 5 feet 7 inches tall, blue eyes, auburn hair, fair complexion, and he was discharge February 23, 1914 in Fort McDowell. There is a Fort McDowell found just outside of Phoenix, Arizona.
According to his death certificate, Elzie Trimble died September 4, 1942 in Paintsville from acute heart failure. Also on this certificate, his birthplace is listed as Kentucky, his birth date as November 7, 1882, his marital status as married, his wife as Celia Trimble, his occupation as "Farmer & Taxi," his parents as John Mark Trimble (b. Kentucky) and Clarandia Frances Spradlin (b. Kentucky), and the informant as Mrs. Elzie Trimble of Paintsville, Kentucky.
According to his obituary, "Elzie 'Jack' Trimble, age 59, died at the Golden Rule Hospital here Friday at 12:20 a.m. He had been in ill health several months with a heart ailment but had been up and about until about three weeks ago. He was taken to the Golden Rule but died from a sudden heart attack which came in the early morning hours last Thursday. Mr. Trimble was a member of a large and prominent family of this county. He was a son of the late John Mark and Clarenda (Spradlin) Trimble. Mr. Trimble was a soldier in the regular Army for more than 17 years. During that time he visited many parts of the world and participated in the Spanish-American War and the Phillippino Insurrection. At the time of his death he owned and operated a number of taxis operating out of Paintsville. The body remained at the funeral home from Friday until Saturday at noon when it was taken to the Trimble home on Second Street where it remained until Sunday. Funeral services were conducted at the Freewill Baptist Church Sunday at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. John Prater of Salyersville, and Rev. Millard Van Hoose, of Paintsville. Burial was made in the Wells Cemetery in Bridgford. Local taxi drivers acted as pallbearers. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Celia Trimble, three daughters, Mrs. Nora Honeycutt, of Ashland; Mrs. Dorothy Powers, of Burning Forks and Miss Mildred Trimble, Williamson, W. Va. Brothers and sisters surviving are: Mrs. Della Hubbard, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Shelly Coldiron, Akron, Ohio; Miss Clara Trimble, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Bird Preston, Bruce Trimble and Boone Trimble, Barnetts Creek; W. C. Trimble, Hager Hill; Harry Trimble, Canada,Pike County and Quince Trimble, Georges Creek. Funeral arrangements and burial were in charge of the undertaking department of the Paintsville Furniture Company." When Arnold Dee Trusty's World War I draft registration card was filled out on June 5, 1917 in Salyersville, Magoffin County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a printer in Prestonsburg, Floyd County, that he was single, that he served 3 years as a private in the Kentucky National Guard, and that he was born June 10, 1895 in Salyersville. He was found to be of medium height and slender build, and he had light blue eyes and light brown hair.
Information found on findagrave.com and photos of their headstones shows that Mabel Prater Trusty lived from 1903 to 1971, and was buried in Berea Cemetery in Berea, Madison County, Kentucky, that Arnold D. Trusty lived from June 10, 1898 to December 4, 1956, was buried in the same cemetery, that Geraldine F. Trusty lived from 1922 to 2013, was buried in the same cemetery, and that Gloria Jean Trusty lived from 1929 to 1939, and was buried in the same cemetery. Arnold's headstone is also engraved with "PVT CO D 335 INFANTRY WORLD WAR I."
On January 2, 1957, Mrs. Mabel Trusty filled out an application for a veteran headstone for Arnold D. Trusty. On that application it says that Arnold served from February 25, 1918 to June 29, 1918, and was honorably discharged. He served as a private in Co D 335 Infantry 84 Div. It also shows that he was born June 10, 1898 died December 4, 1956, and was buried in Berea, Kentucky.

He was born October 6, 1915, died October 26, 1962, and was buried in Pisgah Cemetery in Toro, Louisiana. The application was approved and the headstone ordered on December 14, 1962.

Conley Cemetery in Jennies Creek, Johnson County, Kentucky. He married ELIZABETH MCCLOUD, daughter of GEORGE W. MCCLOUD and ANGELINE COFFEE, January 1, 1898 in Johnson County, Kentucky. She was born September 7, 1879 in Johnson County, Kentucky, died February 5, 1973 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in Horn Cemetery in Staffordsville, Johnson County, Kentucky.

Information on this family can also be found on page 488 of the book "Johnson County, Kentucky: A History of the County, and Genealogy of Its People Up to the Year 1927" by Mitchell Hall. In that book it says that Cyrus Conley was born July 17, 1878, married Elizabeth McCloud who was born September 7, 1879, on January 1, 1898, and that their children were Maxie Conley, Vern Conley, and Elvin Conley. It also says "Mr. and Mrs. Conley reside on a farm near Paintsville. Mr. Conley works at the shipping yards at the Paintsville depot. Mrs. Conley is a woman with a jovial nature and has many friends. She is the life of this home."
Elizabeth McCloud's brother, William, married Cyrus Conley's niece, Hattie.
According to Kentucky marriage record transcripts, Cyrus N. Conley (age 18) married Elizabeth McCloud (age 18) on January 1, 1898 in Johnson County.
When Cyrus N. Conley's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a self-employed farmer in Paintsville, that his closest relative was Lizzie Conley of Paintsville, and that he was born July 17, 1879. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had black eyes and black hair.
According to his death certificate, Cyrus Newton Conley died November 5, 1944 in Paintsville from cancer. Also on this certificate, his birthplace is listed as Kentucky, his birth date as July 17, 1879, his marital status as married, his wife as Elizabeth McCloud, his occupation as carpenter, his parents as Hiram E. Conley (b. Kentucky) and Clarinda Rice (b. Kentucky), the informant as Elizabeth Conley of Paintsville, and the burial place as Collista, Kentucky.
According to his obituary, Cyrus N. Conley of Southside Addition [Paintsville], died November 5, 1944 after an illness of several months, and was buried in the Conley Cemetery in Jennies Creek beside his parents, who were among the earlier settlers of Johnson County. He was survived by his wife, Elizabeth McCloud Conley; 3 sons, Maxie V. Collista Conley (of Paintsville), Vern Conley (Paintsville), and Elvin Conley (Paintsville); 2 brothers, Rev. John E. According to her death certificate, Cynthia Ann Helton died January 15, 1953 in Oil Springs from thrombosis.
