Samuel Epperson Welch was the brother of John Welch.

According to his obituary, Samuel Epperson "Ep" Welch (age 89), son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Frances Spears Welch, was a retired farmer and a resident in Concord, Kentucky, at the time of his death. The photo John and Julia's headstone is kind of blurry, and it looks like it could say that she was born in 1899, but the 1900 census and her Social Security records show differently.

According to his obituary, John C. Davis (age 77), son of the late James and Trin Arrowood Davis, was a retired barber and blacksmith. Bert Daniels obituary: (Taken from the obituary page of the The Johnson County Historical & Genealogical Society's website.)

"Fire believed to have originated with a cigarette brought death to a Paintsville man on Saturday. Bert Daniels, 47, died shortly after he was rescued from his burning home here. The coroner’s report attributed the cause of death to second- and third-degree burns and to suffocation. Indications are that the fire began in a couch on which Daniels had been sleeping. The victim apparently had aroused sufficiently to make his way to the back door of the house, which was locked when firemen arrived. Apparently, he had been unable to open the door and collapsed on the kitchen floor. A call by a neighbor had summoned Fire Chief Lee Howard Jr., to the home, which is located on Mill Street behind the Mayo State Vocational School. Chief Howard promptly turned in an alarm which brought a 17-man force to the scene. Indications were that the fire had possibly been building up for as much as two hours before it became evident from outside the house. Prompt action by City and volunteer fire fighters confined the fire to one room and a ceiling, and had flames extinguished in a matter of minutes. Smoke continued to be a problem for a short time, however, as did the rumor that there were others in the home in addition to Mr. Daniels. A thorough search of the home quickly determined that there were no other persons involved. The five-room house was heavily damaged. Chief Howard commended the members of the volunteer squad for their promptness in responding to the urgent call, which went out at 3:45 Saturday afternoon. Both City fire trucks were on the scene in a matter of minutes. Mr. Daniels, a former coal operator, had been a member of Chandlersville Lodge 858 F&AM. He was born January 15, 1918, a son of the late Willie L. and Elizabeth Brooks Daniels. Services were held for the victim on Monday at the Lowmansville United Baptist Church, by Lonza Reed and F. F. Rigsby. Burial was in the Daniels Cemetery at Lowmansville. Mr. Daniels is survived by his wife, Mrs. Shirley Conley Daniels; and four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Mae Daniels and Mrs. Ella Francis Ratliff of Paintsville, Mrs. Beatrice Lee Ball of Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. Wilma Jo Collins of Drift. Six sisters also survive: Mrs. Luty Castle of Lowmansville, Mrs. Edith Walters of Paintsville, Mrs. Alka Grimm of Thealka, Mrs. Luke Adams of Kingston, Ohio; Mrs. Ruby King and Mrs. Dorothy Crane, both of Columbus.
