He married (1) LILLIAN PIERCE. She was born about 1890 in Ohio. He married (2) VERA LIZZIE ADAMS, daughter of ELIZABETH E. "BETTY" CANTRELL and JOSEPH LLOYD ADAMS. She was born December 6, 1903 in Morgan County, Kentucky, and died February 3, 1980 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. Lizzie Adams married (2) (unknown first name) RUSSELL.

I know he had one brother, Marion. Not sure of any more. Their son, Walter Conley, (b:5-21-1894, d: 2/1964) was my paternal grandfather, and he was married to Ver Lizzie Adams (b: 1-6-1903, I don't have the exact date of her death). Then comes my father, William Lloyd Conley, (b: 5-8-1925, d: 3-24-1995). He was married to Helen Louise Helton, (b: 6-23-1926, d: 4-18-1968). She was from West Liberty, Morgan County, KY. "Death and tragedy struck in a widely known Johnson County family during the past week, taking two sisters, Mrs. Linnie Hall, 86, of Meally and Mrs. Adeline Robinson of East Point. Mrs. Robinson, 77, died of burns Monday [November 26, 1956] afternoon at her home after her clothing ignited from a gas furnace in the cottage where she lived near her daughter, Mrs John Auxier. Her body was found by members of the family who were attracted to the scene by smoke from the building. She had been in ill health for several years, but her tragic death came as a great shock to the East Point vicinity where she was loved and well known as a 'good' woman. She was a member of the East Point Church of Christ. Familiarly known as 'Aunt Add' she is mourned not only by her loved ones, but by a host of friends and neighbors. Surviving are three sons, Wm. Robinson, of East Point; Jay Robinson, West Van Lear; George Ernest Robinson, Maytown, Ky; two daughters, Mrs. Stella Auxier, East Point; and Mrs. Dorothy Hall, Fon Du Lac, Wis. Others survivors of Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Hall are two sisters, Mrs. J.E. Akers of West Van Lear, and Mrs. Lon Goble, of Lancer, Ky.; and one brother, Wm. Music of Auxier, Ky.; also a number of grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the East Point Church of Christ by Reverend S.C. Honeycutt. Burial will be made in the family cemetery at East Point by the Jones and Preston Funeral Home. Mrs. Hall died Thursday Novemeber 22, 1956, at Meally after suffering a stroke two weeks earlier. She was a loyal and faithful member of the Church of Christ and had been a resident of Meally for the past forty-eight years. She was known in her community as a good Christian woman. She was born at East Point on June 30 1870, and was preceded in death by her husband, Martin M. Hall, who passed away on November 14 1945. Four sons and three daughters survive, they are Jim Hall, Hatcher Hall, and Paul Hall, all of Meally; Virgil Hall, Logan, W. Va.; Mrs. Verna Music, East Point, Ky.; Mrs. Virgie Walters and Mrs. Lucille Short, both of Meally. Services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Church of Christ at Meally, with the Rev. J.H. Short officiating. Burial was made in the Hall Cemetery at Meally under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home. Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Hall were the daughters of Abraham and Nan Jones [Nancy Jones] Music, members of pioneer families who migrated to Kentucky from Virginia."       According to his death certificate, E. W. Walters was the victim of a homicide, and died from a gunshot wound to the heart. Also on this certificate, his birthplace is listed as Meally, Kentucky, his occupation as laborer, his marital status as single, his parents as Glen Walters (b. Johnson County) and Virgie Hall (b. Johnson County), and the informant as Glen Walters of Meally.
      According to his obituary, Billie Walters (age 19), son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Walters, "was shot and instantly killed at the west end of the Big Sandy River Bridge on Route 40 at the city limits last Saturday night. The shooting took place about 10 o’clock. Charlie Craft, age about 63, is charged with the crime and is held in the county jail on a murder charge. Both Walters and Craft live at Meally, on Buffalo Creek. Craft was placed in the county jail by Sheriff Julius Daniel less than an hour after the shooting. A court of inquiry was held Sunday before Magistrate Gus Meade who held Craft under $3,000 bond. According to the best information available Walters and another youth from the Meally section were sitting on the end of the bridge when Craft and three other men came along and for some cause as yet unknown Craft fired two shots, one of which passed through the youth’s heart, killing him instantly. After the shooting the four men, together with Walters; companion fled, leaving the youth lying upon the bridge floor. The boy’s mother, Mrs. Glenn Walters, was an occupant of the first car to cross the bridge. After the car had passed the body the mother, thinking someone was drunk, became uneasy and asked the driver to return to the scene, remarking, "That might be my son." It was found that the youth was dead. The slain youth is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Walters and a grandson of the late Billie Walters, who formerly conducted a store in Greentown. The body was taken to the Preston Funeral Home and prepared for burial by Undertaker Guy W. Preston. It was then taken to the home of his parents at Meally where funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon by Rev. S. C. Honeycutt. Burial was made in the family cemetery near the home."

He was born March 30, 1890 in Oil Springs, Johnson County, Kentucky, and died July 11, 1991 in Montgomery County, Kentucky. James Caudill married (2) LULA E. WILLIAMS about 1923. She was born March 7, 1892 in Kentucky, and died October 19, 1983 in Stanton, Powell County, Kentucky.

Information found on findagrave.com and a photo of their headstone shows that Mahala Conley Rudd lived from 1889 to 1946, and was buried in Section 15 of Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, Boyd County, Kentucky, and that Andrew McDonald Rudd lived from 1880 to 1938, and was buried in the same section of the same cemetery.

According to her death certificate, Mahala Jane Conley Rudd died August 24, 1946 in Ashland, Boyd County, Kentucky, from cancer, although the exact kind is hard to read. Also on this certificate, her birthplace is listed as Willard, Kentucky, her birth date as February 16, 1889, her marital status as widowed, her husband as Andrew M. Rudd, her parents as J. R. Conley (birthplace blank) and Jane Sexton (b. Carter County), the informant as Marco M. Rudd of Ashland, and the burial place as Ashland.

He was born November 7, 1880 in Johnson County, Kentucky, died December 16, 1972 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in Hall-Meek Cemetery in Concord, Johnson County, Kentucky. John Hall married (2) ZORNAN "ZORA" FITZPATRICK DAVIS.

Hall's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a farmer in Thelma, Kentucky, that his closest relative was Zora Hall of Thelma, and that he was born November 7, 1880. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had blue eyes and brown hair.

Information found on the Johnson County Historical Society's website shows that Angie Hall lived from 1877 to 1909, and was buried in Hall-Meek Cemetery in Concord, Johnson County, Kentucky, and that John Martin Hall lived from 1880 to December 16, 1972, and was buried in the same cemetery. Photos of their headstone weren't provided.

According to his obituary, John Martin Hall (age 92), son of the late Andrew and Sarah Goble Hall, was a retired carpenter. He died December 16, 1972 in Paintsville Hospital following a brief illness, and was buried in the Concord Cemetery in Thealka. He was survived by 1 son, Robert Hall (of Fon du Lac, Wisconsin); 1 daughter, Mrs. Hazel Groves (Ashland); and several grandchildren. He was a miner and married at the time of his death.

When Elza Benton Riffe's World War I draft registration card was filled out on June 5, 1917 in Boyd County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a roller working for Ashland Leather Company in Ashland, Kentucky, that he was married, that he was born April 4, 1889 in Boyd County, and that he had been a private for 2 years in the State Guard. He was found to be tall and slender, and he had black eyes and dark-colored hair.

Information found on findagrave.com and a photo of her headstone shows that Anna Conley Riffe lived from 1891 to 1940, and was buried in Section 15 of Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, Boyd County, Kentucky, and that Elza Benton Riffe lived from April 4, 1869 [mistake] to March 18, 1961, and was buried in plot R-15-9-2W of Ogden City Cemetery in Ogden, Weber County, Utah. It also says that Elza has no headstone.

According to her death certificate, Anna M. Conley Riffe died February 28, 1940 in King's Daughters Hospital in Ashland, Boyd County, Kentucky, from lobar pneumonia. He was found to be tall and slender, and he had grey eyes and blonde hair.
