Information found on the Johnson County Historical Society's website and photos of his headstones (photo 2) shows that Farris Castle lived from November 23, 1899 to April 21, 1949, and was buried in Clubhouse Cemetery in Van Lear, Johnson County, Kentucky. It also shows that he was a private first class in the 9th Infantry 2nd Division in World War I.

According to Social Security applications and claims indexes, Paris Castle was born November 23, 1897 in Johnson County, Kentucky, and died April 21, 1949.

On May 24, 1949, Clara Castle filled out an application for a veteran headstone for Farris Castle. On that application it shows that Farris served from August 3, 1917 to August 14, 1919, and was honorably discharged. He served as a PFC in Company MG 9th Inf. It also shows that he was born November 23, 1899 [originally 1897, but that was crossed out and 1899 was written in], and was buried in Club House Cemetery in Van Lear, Kentucky.

According to her death certificate, Jennie Williams Castle died February 13, 1929 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, from pericarditis and nephritis. Also on this certificate, her birthplace is listed as Kentucky, her birth date as October 21, 1905, her marital status as married, her parents as Frank Williams (b. Kentucky) and Rachel King (b. Kentucky), the informant as Rachel McCloud of Hager Hill, and the burial place as Hager Hill.

According to Kentucky death record transcripts, Jennie Castle died February 13, 1929 in Johnson County at the age of 24.

"Former Johnson County resident, Clara B. Miller, 84, died Thursday, March 31 at Medcenter Hospital, Marion, OH. Mrs. Miller was born September 13, 1909, in Johnson County, the daughter of the late Alex Webb and Manda Butcher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Miller, on October 9, 1970; one daughter, Marie Delong Webb; one step daughter, Phyliss Granato; and six brothers. Surviving are five stepsons, John, Terry, Wilbur, Larry and Allen Miller, all of Bucyrus, OH; one stepdaughter, Shirley Volkmer of Bucyrus; one sister, Nora Butcher of Van Lear; two grandchildren, 15 step grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2 at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with David Burns Mollett, Lawrence Arrowood and Carlos Preston officiating. Burial was in Ashley Butcher Cemetery at Van Lear."

She was preceded in death by several brothers. I want to thank everyone who sent flowers and kindness. All was done for him that could be done. On April 30 he was taken to the Golden Rule Hospital where another operation was performed and on May 1 he died. Surviving are the heart-broken parents, Wayne and Alma Castle, three sisters and one brother, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chilt Castle of Van Lear and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Blanton Branch by Rev. F. F. Riggsby, Rev. Lonza Reed and Rev. Oscar McCarty. Burial was made in the Blanton cemetery.
