MALTA CAUDILL, daughter of SARAH ELIZABETH MAY and WINSTON CAUDILL, was born February 18, 1895 in Johnson County, Kentucky, and died June 18, 1933 in Abbott, Floyd County, Kentucky. She married (1) NORRIS WILSON STAMBAUGH, son of ISAAC WALKER "WALKER" STAMBAUGH and ALIFAIR CASTLE, about 1910. He was born about 1888 in Kentucky, died December 24, 1919 in Sitka, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in Witten Cemetery in Stambaugh, Johnson County, Kentucky. She married (2) ELI DENNIS FAIRCHILD.

Norris Wilson Stambaugh was the brother of Forrest Redman Stambaugh.

When Norris Stambaugh's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Eastern State Hospital, his closest relative was listed as Sarah Caudill of Stambaugh, Johnson County, Kentucky, his birth date as 1887, and his age as 31. He was found to be tall, of medium build, he had brown eyes and black hair, and he was insane.

She was born March 17, 1908 in Kentucky, died November 25, 1934 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in Ward-Gambill Cemetery in River, Johnson County, Kentucky. He married (2) BEATRIX HOLBROOK, daughter of WILLIAM TAULBEE HOLBROOK and STELLA STANLEY. She was born March 15, 1909 in Kentucky, died January 30, 2008 in Edgewood, Kenton County, Kentucky, and is buried in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, Boyd County, Kentucky.
